FCRE is a network of volunteers working together to develop our network and other initiatives.

Editorial Design

We have a few voluntary roles for students/independent scholars etc. interested in working on exciting projects and meeting interesting people whilst adding serious work experience to their portfolio/resume. 

​

We are seeking candidates with a keen interest in culture, history, research and/or education. Prior experience is a plus for these roles.

Associate Editor and Editorial Assistant

  • you'll be working alongside the editor in chief.

  • you should have published work

  • published work in the area (culture, geography, history, anthropology, literature, religion, personal narratives, events) ideally experience of editing a journal or similar publication 

  • strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • fluent english

You'll be expected to support with:

  • supporting with preparing proposals (call for papers) etc.

  • judging the quality of articles submitted and provide good feedback to the author in case submissions need to be revised or rejected

Qualifications/experience: Studying or have experience in writing, proofreading and editing etc.

​

Event Coordinator

  • planning, promoting, monitoring, managing and coordinating virtual and physical programmes. 

  • establishing, maintaining and managing positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • social media savvy

  • hosting/chairing events

  • strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • fluent english

  • desirable: experience with creating and curating social media content

Qualifications/experience: Studying or have experience in Events Management may be essential to the role.

Techical Support

  • remote technical support for online events (setup, configure, manage and maintain live online events)

  • strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • fluent english

  • technical support for physical events (provide audio and video support for our network events)

  • desirable: experience with content management software

Qualifications/experience: Studying or have experience in Multimedia and computer technology may be essential to this role.

Administration and Marketing

  • working with our team to organise, coordinate, monitor and improve our network campaigns (symposiums, launches, generate awareness of our events, journal and visual projects etc.).

  • strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • fluent english

  • monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of marketing activities

  • work with the team to organise events

  • work on social media promotion

  • publish content (online and print) in line with marketing plans to deliver on campaigns

  • desirable: experience with content marketing, analytics, surveys

Qualifications/experience: Studying or have experience in Marketing / Business may be essential to this role.
